About the author

Hello! I’m Becca Whitestone, the founder and author of Boost My Budget. I’m a side hustle expert, professional blogger and online entrepreneur based near London in the UK.

Here’s how I got started:

I used to worry about money all the time. There was just never enough of it.

I blamed my boss for not giving me a pay rise, the high cost of living in my area, the economy…

Basically, I felt that I had no control.

In 2016 I decided I’d had enough.

I realised that I could take steps to change my own financial situation.

I started to investigate different ways to make extra money on top of my day job.

And because I didn’t want to fall into the same money traps again, I also made a commitment to learn how to make the most of the money I do have.

Over the last few years, I’ve personally tested out dozens of different ways to make extra cash. From quick wins such as taking surveys for money, to matched betting (no, it’s not gambling!) to designing T shirts to sell online, I’ve tried it all.

Since October 2018, I make a full time living as a blogger (click here to learn how!)

As well running Boost My Budget and a handful of smaller blogs, I still love to experiment with new online businesses and money making sites.

About Boost My Budget

Boost My Budget is a UK money blog dedicated to helping you earn more through side hustling, making money online and working from home.

The Boost My Budget project was born in October 2018 when I started my own money making journey. I started this site as a way to share what I was learning.

I test out different money making methods and sites, and I write honest reviews of my experiences. I’ll always tell you when something isn’t worth your time, and I share my own earnings where applicable.

I also share information about other online jobs and earning opportunities that I think will be of interest to you.

And in addition to writing about how to make extra money, I blog about money saving tips and getting to grips with your finances.
